Ticino Park Cycling in Italy

The park of Ticino, the first one created in Italy, represents the most relevant parts of this bike tour. The landscape offer the spectacle of nature shaped by man over many centuries, filled with farmsteads, admirable hydraulic enginery works, irrigation ditches, waterways, mills. The meanders of the river are rich of birds and rare vegetables. Full of art and culture: the covered bridge of Pavia, the famous Chartreuse, the bright façade of St. Michele. Finally you’ll taste the simple but tasty receipts of local gastronomy, in which rice is the most important ingredient, without forgetting the cheese, salami and the excellent red wine of Oltrepò, as Bonarda and Pinot Nero. 

1st day: Arrive in Sesto Calende
2nd day: Sesto Calende  – Novara ( 40 km)
3rd day: Novara - Vigevano    (33 km)
4th day: Novara - Pavia    (35 km)
5th day: Pavia - End of the journey after breakfast

The journey unrolls on secondary roads without traffic, along the waterways and in the park. There are some simple dirt roads. Journey completely flat suitable for children.
