The unique environment of the Po Delta with its ponds populated by herons, the fishermen's huts and boats is the destination of this tour during which you can see the boat bridges, the Sacche, the Gorino lighthouse, the fishing valleys, the great river that divides into many branches, remaining for kilometers and kilometers on roads and embankments that have water to the left and right, the nonexistent traffic. Our great river was diverted to Taglio di Po in 1600 by the Republic of Venice to prevent it from being submerged and at that time the town was in contact with the sea, in fact in that area we still find dunes and shells.
Every day you will discover a different area of this Park which was recognized by UNESCO in 1999.
Day 1: Individual arrival in Porto Tolle
Day 2: Porto Tolle - Porto Levante - Boccasette and return 45 km approx.
Day 3: the island of Ariano and the museums; by bike to the Bonifica museum, ocarina museum, Taglio di Po, along the Po di Venezia, Ariano, the Po di Goro, the dune museum of San Basilio; 56/35 km approx.
Day 4: the route of the Valleys and the Reclamation, by bike along the Po di Goro, Gorino lighthouse, boat bridge, Mesola forest, Pomposa abbey; 50 km approx.
Day 5: Porto Tolle - Lido di Volano: by bike to the castle of Mesola, Torre Abate, Po di Goro, Gorino lighthouse, boat bridge, Po di Gnocca; 50/30 km approx.
Day 6: ring of Comacchio and Valle Bertuzzi 47/32 km approx.
Day 7: Lido di Volano, end of the trip after breakfast; possible transfer to Porto Tolle
